sudeep says:
A superb work of art and I sincerely respect the thought and the approach for the context of the work
Jeffrey Lutes says:
This is a wonderful site . . . full of some of the greatest art of our time . . . It should remain in history as shuch. It's far more than just album covers . . . The art is a great show on it's own . . . And thank you Mr. Dean ( And Daniel Earnshaw ) for sending me a signed card from the exhibition at Colliers! It's now on display in the middle of all our Roger Dean prints in our front office! Thanks! Jeffrey Lutes ClearSoul.com Carlos Alberto Rego says:
Floating jungle, floating islands, floating seeds of life. A world, an ecosystem, a biodiversity, all entirely autentic, in the world shown by Roger Dean. Matt Parish says:
Being that green is my favorite color, I truly love this one. Roger NEVER ceases to amaze me with his seemingly endless wealth of talent. Jaime Hudson says:
The blues and greens in this piece are fantastic -- just love it! And the timeless feeling of space and distance is very uplifting. A great mural for a bedroom or an aquarium. Chris McCarvill says:
Otherworldly, yet somehow familiar. Roger's art reminds me of my own dreams. On this one I don't know if I'd rather fly through like a bird or swim like a fish. I always want to explore further into Mr. Dean's worlds. I wonder if there's a way to link all of his paintings together... pete says:
it is in the vein of the early 70's thing. to me very "raw". i like much of Mr. Dean's work. this i like. very simple. reminds me of "Spring", or "Beginings". Martin Greenwell says:
I have been a fan of Roger Dean's since the early 70's. At age 43, I have become an apprentice bonsai artist. I don't know if Roger consciously emulates classic bonsai forms in many of his tree renderings, but the these forms are certainly present. His images evoke the same feelings of awe and tranquility that the living, organic bonsai masterpieces do. What a gift! Bob Bonham says:
In the greenest sense of the word, "Mind Tingling" is the description that came to mind when I first saw this piece. Thanks, Roger, for keeping your wonderfully organic style alive throughout the years. Bob Bonham - graphic designer adele says:
a truly magnificent piece of art, to be treasured
Peter Persson says:
What a surprise, Roger Dean not in blue but in green, a very tasteful work. Floating Jungle is really fantastic!!! george hudson says:
I have been an fan of Roger Dean for a long time and his visions of life, how he puts it into his art and his life. Jay Anderson says:
I like this. This is a liitle different from Mr. Dean's regular color schemes. It is not a scary jungle scene but one that almost anything could happen in it. He has alot of depth to this picture. You can almost hear the "creatures" making sounds at you while traveling through the Jungle on the back of the playful Dragon from "Dragon Dreams".
David Ward says:
Roger...thank you, your art is what I dream (on a good night)! Chris Seybolt says:
It always amazes me that water covers 2/3 of the Earth but you rarely see artists attempt a rendering of the sea from below the surface. Maybe it's just hard to keep the easel from floating away. The imagination can run wild because it IS largely unseen. Very pleased to see Mr. Dean venture into the great unknown once again. Humberto Campos says:
It's a true illusion from a lost dream in time and space and found in our mind and soul. Beautiful!!!!!!!
WILLIAM KOPF says:
I HAVE BEEN A FAN FOR MANY YEARS!!!! FANTASTIC!!!!!
Ken Wechsler says:
I love this place! Roger Dean's latest creation for Yes' boxed set cd collection is a place I feel at home with, here in my home state of Florida. Spanish moss dripping from live oak trees. A dark, misty, sweaty, and humid forest landscape. "Foating Jungle" is just another classic Roger Dean creation. Notice the horsemen in the upper left hand center of the picture. Maybe they're Spainish explorers searching for the fountain of youth? Long live Roger Dean and Yes!
Jasper Joppe Geers says:
A question. What would happen if Roger started to paint when he had a delirium? Just take a look. He would probably finished this painting the very next morning... Once again he adds a small figure a little NorthWest from the centre of the image. He should do that no more to me, as it is just an easy trick to let us believe the scale of the landscape. We've seen it too much now. However, it is brilliant. Just brilliant. Is it the subject? No... Is it those colors? Maybe... It is the way he did this image. I've seen no image lately that related so clearly to his psychadelic images we all know from the seventies, when Roger worked so much with marbling techniques, together with inks and car enamels... It seems to me that this image is done with acrylics only, so no more of the toxic stuff... To you Roger: Cheers! |
